My new cookie cookbook, Vintage Cookie Recipes, is here! It's available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook versions through Amazon®. 

If you have a copy of my Christmas desserts cookbook, you will see that we have kept the theme of the cover going so it will go with the cookbook series I am creating, My Olde Country Home. Volume 1 is Olde Fashioned Christmas Desserts, and volume 2 is Vintage Cookie Recipes. Volume 3 will be announced after the cookie cookbook is published.

This book features a total of 84 recipes with 34 full-color photos. You'll find my tried-and-true recipes for cookies, bars, and biscotti. There are instructions for making jar-mixes for 12 classic cookies, some vintage recipes from the 1920s and a section of tips and tricks that I have learned along the way. The whole book is sprinkled with my sketches, plus vintage ads and illustrations as well as a couple of old photos of my family.

Cookbooks are my way of sharing what I love. I just don't want to see the great recipes that our mothers and grandmothers made so long ago with so much love go away. I feel strongly that we need to teach our children to cook again. So many young folks these days don't know how. With the recipes I share, it is my hope that you will teach your children and grandchildren, so the legacy will continue.

This recipe for homemade cheese is very, very easy. No special equipment is needed. The texture of the cheese reminds me of feta, which I love. You can slice it, spread it on crackers and sandwiches and crumble it on your salads etc.  I used some of it on a chicken pizza, and wow, so delicious. Homemade No-Churn Ice Cream Sundaes

Homemade ice cream sundaes from scratch!  I have had a hankering for ice cream lately. I really enjoy making it at home with ingredients I can pronounce. No fancy machine needed! I like to embellish my sundaes a bit with homemade chocolate ganache sauce or strawberry sauce. You can stick a chocolate caramel turtle on your chocolate sundae as well. Yum!  Am I eating them all myself? No! I always share with my family, of course!  I made them just in time too because I started to get a sore throat last night. This ice cream really feels soothing going down. It's so creamy and smooth.  With the recipe for the vanilla ice cream below, you can use it as a base for whatever kind of ice cream you want to make. Just add fruits and sauces to change the flavor. You can add peanut butter too. The sky's the limit. To freeze, I put the ice cream in Glad® plastic containers.
