M&M®, Semisweet and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
I made these delicious cookies today with semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and Peanut M&Ms.® It's kind of one of those cookies that you use what ya got. They are great! You can't tell in the photo but they are big!
M&M®, Semisweet and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup Peanut M&M's®
Instructions
1. Combine the butter, shortening, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
2. In a second bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
3. Add the flour mixture one cup at a time into the wet ingredients. Next add the semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and Peanut M&Ms®.
4. These are large cookies - about 4" x 4". But you can make them any size you like. Place them on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. For large cookies, use an ice cream scoop and then add a smaller scoop on top. Once the smaller scoop is on, press down slightly. You can only fit 6 on the cookie sheet at a time. For normal-sized cookies, place small scoops of dough on the lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart - usually about 12 per cookie sheet.
5. For large cookies, bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for 15 minutes. Take them out of the oven and shape into circles with a heat-proof spatula. The dough is hot and soft enough to do this. Once you are happy with their shape place them back in the oven for 5 more minutes. If you are making smaller cookies, just bake them for 8 to 10 minutes.
6. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven place more chocolate chips and M&Ms® on top of each cookie.
7. Let the cookies cool on a baking rack and enjoy! They are really delicious when still slightly warm.
